Brands Designed for Play
My work is influenced by a decade of selling toys, combined with a love for 60s graphic design heroes such as Wim Crouwel, Karel Martens, and Otl Aicher. I draw inspiration from colorful expressions by others, nature and culture. My visual systems can be neatly arranged in a Lego box but are always able to roam free in a space of play. The approach always prioritizes strategy and concept, allowing creativity to extend over time.
Currently, I operate as Design Director at the strategic design agency Resoluut, based in Amsterdam. A creative journey that has unfold since an internship back in 2015. The collaboration with talented designers in the studio results in a wide variety of clients and type of projects. Start-ups, SaaS and many consumer facing platforms.
With a strategic and conceptual mindset I'm able to operate not only on the visual ideation and creation, but also at the copy and naming part that is required. This makes me flexible in the role of Design Director to zoom in and zoom out.
